Victorious U17 and U19 NC 2008 All Stars in Pittsburgh

North Carolina All-Star Program
In 2005, spearheaded by Jonathan Worrall & Robert Joseph, North Carolina Youth Rugby created the Carolina All-Star Program to compete at national level tournaments against other state rugby programs. The core mission & objectives of the program are:
1. Fostering the growth & evolution of rugby in North Carolina
2. Serving as a launching point for NC players to compete for selection to the USA Rugby Junior Eagle National Teams.
Selection to the NC All-Star Program with the possible opportunity to play for the USA abroad on the national team is a great honor for players. The boys come home better players due to their exposure to the highest level of competition in the US. They also come home as "teachers" & "mentors" for their team mates - because rugby is equally taught by coaches & PLAYERS.

The North Carolina All-Star Program has ascended to a championship level, winning both u17 & u19 tournaments in the summer of 2008. Both sides finished undefeated in match play.
Congratulations to all the boys on the side, you not only performed brilliantly on the paddock, but more importantly you represented your state with the necessary grace & humility of a champion.
